Once again, another guy who's scoured the forums looking for info on crossovers.
I have 2 Txd121's & 1x tcx18b & would like a second opinion on where to xover the mid/high boxes.
I have attached links to pdfs with freq. resp. graphs.
Your help = my eternal greatfulness.

My opinions are power based.. I don't know about anyone else...
I would like to know what amps your using, and what the system will be used for. Please list all equipment, source, crossover...

Ok system is:
1x Turbosound tcx 18b sub powered by bridged Yamaha P7000S
2x Turbosound txd121 mid/highs powered by Yamaha P2500S
Using of course DBX DRPA+
It will be used for pre-recorded program (dj) and will be used in a large outdoor enclosed canvas tent.
Love my DRPA+ , one of the best supported products I've bought in a long time.

AJ
1900 watts for the sub...
270 watts for the tops...
pretty good power for the sub... which wants 1000 watts program... you have that plus some headroom... but you COULD cook the voice coil on the sub if your not carefull
WAYYYY under powered on the tops... I mean you don't even meet RMS specs here.
So, with that in mind...
Sub:
HPF= 35 hz BW18
LPF 120hz LR24
tops:
LPF 120hz LR24
Set up a 2x3= stereo passive tops, mono sub.
do a thorough gain structure to insure you know when and where the amps clip, and avoid that like the plague (clipping that is)
Limiters won't be your friend here. Not with so little power and heavily compressed music.

I had a feeling i was lacking in power for the highs.
I've put in an order for a p5000s for the highs, should do the trick.
Cheers!
