    Simple answer... Yes.

I can think of a lot of scenarios why you would ask that question, but without more specific info it is hard to give anything more than that.

  • We are going to be using 2 JBL JRX125's in the front and 2 JBL JRX115's (they have internal crossovers) for sound reinforcement in the back of the bar (This is for a night club installation)

I guess my question now is will there be any limitations or features that I cant use on each channel with this setup.

    PM kpippen.
He had a set-up (though with subs) using those same 115's and 125's. If you are lucky he might have some of the PEQ info still on his computer. To get their sounds matched a little better.

Though the simple set-up would be to set up a 2 x 4 (passive tops w/ subs) put the 125's on the highs with the hi-pass filter dropped to the -3db point. Then put the 115's on the low outputs with the lo-pass filter raised to 17khz (or so) and the hi-pass filter (again) at the -3db point.

The pairs can then be volume controlled by the x-over(filter) gains as needed (if needed).

  • We have subs as well (2x Mach M115i)

We might just end up running everything in mono. What two plugs would I use then? The Mids?

    Set up a 2 x 6 (passive bi-amp w/sub)

Depending on what you want the 115's to do (mimic the mains' tops, or be more full range fills)
You can put the 125's (or 115's) on hi or mid, which ever you prefer, and the subs on lows. I would lean on the stage mains being on hi so that you'll have 3 PEQ's available.

Regardless, set up the x-over filters on the "standard" main system and then adjust the filter for the fills. Personally I'd run the fills full range (to the -3db point).

I'd recommend going dual mono.. the 12's on one channel, the 15's on the other.. run the subs on the same channel as the 12's with the proper xover points...That way you can eq the speakers properly.

So then with a 2x6 dual mono setup the 12's on the left hi outs and subs on the left low out, the right input feeds the right mid output.. to the 15's...

The 12's would have a xover @ 120hz LR24, the subs the same LPF with a HPF OF 40HZ bw18. The mid outs would have a bandpass filter and with an LPF somewhere in the 90-100hz arewa depending on how far from the system stage..

I have Kevin's phone number...I'll see if he will weigh in...

    Gadget, your vast mental library has needs a re-boot. The 115 is a 15 x 1. The 125 is a (2x) 15 x 1. No 12's.
However, the split processor for separate GEQ is a good one.
