Are there any new updates for the PX with the newer powered speakers coming on the market? Example is the new JBL PRX line.
If there are updates, how do I obtain them and load them into the PX?

No, There aren't and based on past performance (only 2 updates for the 260 platform since it's inception... one early on to fix a checksum error... and the other... after nearly 10 years... preset update) I would say a hell of a lot of new products would have to come out before you'll see anything.

That said, Presets (especially for powered speakers) are almost always simply an HPF/LPF for the tops subs combos, and perhaps again differential for the difference in "output" characteristics between tops and subs...

These are easy to implement and set up and test... simply pick a crossover point between 75 and 120 hz, choose a xover type (we usually suggest LR24, BW 18-24) for most apps.. If there is xover interference or sonic problems try BW type...or spread the xover points a bit and apply a PEQ, but if your going to overlap the xover much at all the BW filters sound best...

Actually there is one update for the PRX as I recently discovered. My PRX is at v1.0 but there is a firmware update to 1.100 that adds JBL EON 515 (possibly others) as well as improvements to auto eq and auto level. The update is accomplished by changing an eprom so the unit has to be sent back to DBX.
DBX USA wil do the job for $35. In the UK its £40 +VAT :D
