Output Jumper Swithes

MctwinsMctwins Posts: 113
Hello everybody

Where do I find the Output Jumper Switches on the 260. On page 46 in the User Manual it says that one can change the jumpers from 14, 22, 30dB. There is none of this feature, it does not appear on the display.

Is this something that has been removed, or??

What is the default settings on the Gain level jumpers inside the unit(page 73). It has both inputs and outputs jumpers.

Do I have to bother to open up the unit and check.

Thanks

It's set at 22dB and no, unless you have a very good reason you should leave the unit as is... if you tamper with the jumpers the meters will no longer be calibrated. The jumpers are inside the 260 and opening the unit could void any warranty....

    Hi again

No reason at all, just for my Info.

you need to access the utilities in order to do those things... have you done so?

The thing is, @ 22dB the driverack should be able to handle almost ANY input output situation you will encounter... from consumer gear to the weirdest pro level stuff...

Not sure what your getting at here?

The thing is, it's not there. I press the utility(hold it for a while) to enter the meters section and cant find it wich is described at page 46, the seventh window display from left.

    What is wrong or missing?

    Thanks

    Crap..
All my 260's are in rigs and trailers now... (read this BURRIED  )

I would have to run through mine since it's been forever since I needed to look at that stuff..It's Probably a 2 button command as there are several of these throughout the GUI/260.

Perhaps Jason Mondragon or one of the other techs at dbx could help you there... I will forward this to them.

Alrighty then...here is the reply I got.. I have to assume since Jason didn't post it himself that he wanted me to post it... anyway, here is the response...

    Hi Gadget,

Page 46 is just flat out incorrect, among other pages in the original dbx260 manual.

For this reason, the dbx260 owners manual has recently been over hauled and a new revision is now available for download at: http://www.dbxpro.com/Literature.php

Gain Level Jumpers are internal and can not be changed from within the Utilities menu.

    Thanks,

Fine, glad we clear that out. I will leave it for 22 dB
