Hello everyone, I have a question and it seems that im losing my mind. We currently have a Yamaha MG206USB, Crown XLS & 2500 power amp, This goes out to 2 2X15 cabs. I noticed that the Drive Rack PA+ has a LOW, MID, HIGH output. Do I need another 2 amps and sets of speakers to use one of these or is there another Drive Rack that can be used with one set of speakers? Not sure what I need here. Any Help is greatly appreciated.

Just answer the questions in the Set-up Wizard. The DriveRack will default the correct signal top to bottom. In other words, the highest frequecy signal goes to the highest output (Hi). Subs (if you answer yes to subs) will always be in the Low output.

Yammy full range cabs will connect to the hi outputs. Just be sure to set a Hi-pass-filter at the -3db point of the speakers for protection.

  • What if I wanted to use a powered sub with this setup? Would that go out from the Drive Rack Low. My 2X15 to the high? Is this possible? I dont want to buy the unit until I am sure it will all work together. Sorry for all the stupid questions.

Subs (if you answer yes to subs) will always be in the Low output. For a single sub answer "mono" sub.

As I look at your original question I assume? that you don't have any of the above and are asking the questions?

The PX has 2 inputs and 4 outputs... you can use powered speakers or passive speakers... and there are bandpass filters AND full crossovers... so the PX can do '

    Powered fullrange speakers
    unpowered fullrange speakers
    powered tops and powered subs
unpowered tops and unpowered subs or any combination of the above AND
    Bi-amp speakers...
    BUT... only 4 total speakers

The PA PA+ and 260 have 2 ins and 6 outs

can do all of the above and can do 6 individual outputs with each all or part of the frequency spectrum...as well as sum inputs if necessary..

understand that you can use only ONE output if you wish, and that you can do with that output pretty much anything you want.. except that the PX PA and PA + have NO lopass filter on the High outputs...

So, to summarize, you can use some or all of the outputs depending on your systems configurations.. and your needs.

Yes.. note the correction to 6 outputs to the DRPA PA+ and 260...

Also remember that the PX outputs cannot be coupled, or summed... the best you can do is tops and subs OR a bi-amp speaker setup without subs.
