Anyone use the behringer ECM 8000 for the rta mic?

I did a search but didn't come up with much info other than one poster mentioning the use of the ECM 8000 would be adequate as it was equivelant to the dbx rta-m, but I have not found any actual feedback on the use of this mic in their setup.

I am asking because I currently have an ECM 8000 in my possession that I bought to use with REW, so if I could use it that would save me some money.

    Ask me Ask me

Yup I have it, yup I use it and Yup it's fine.. all of the different manufacturers (except a couple of the esoteric's) use the same capsules anyway...

    Thanks for your response.
  • Have ECM8000. DEQ2496 failed after less than 12 hours! Returned it and bought DriveRack PA2.

Wondering if I am better off selecting dbx or generic mic.

Thinking if similar (especially same capsule) dbx might be a closer match than "generic".

    Thoughts anyone???

    Thanks!
