Autowarmth

We're currently having an issue setting up the autowarmth feature.

Can you please explain what governs the threshhold light within this function? Is it the output volume from the router ( which is set by the zone controller ) or the input signal from the equipment?

Cheers

  • Primarily, this should be controlled by the master volume control in the RTE or Zone Controller however the Threshold LED will light as well when the dynamics of the source signal falls low enough.

The ZonePRO Designer Help File recommends the following:

    How to Set AutoWarmth:

    1. Turn AutoWarmth off.

    2. Adjust the Master fader in the Router or Mixer to the maximum desired listening level (or you could adjust the zone's volume ZC, if configured).

    3. Turn AutoWarmth on and adjust the Threshold fader until the Threshold meter just turns off.

    4. Adjust the Master fader in the Router or Mixer to the minimum desired listening level (or you could adjust the zone's volume ZC, if configured).

    5. Adjust the Amount fader until the desired amount of bass compensation is achieved.

    6. Vary the Master fader in the Router or Mixer (or the zone's volume ZC, if configured) between the minimum and maximum desired levels to ensure the settings provide the desired result. Make further adjustments to the Amount fader, if required, until the desired bass response is achieved throughout the sweep...

NOTE: Be careful when using AutoWarmth followed by an AGC DSP module. The AGC can add gain when below the AutoWarmth threshold, resulting in overcompensated bass.
