Why would my threshold meters go RED with little input?

I followed the limiter setting procedure in the "start here" thread, and at the end this is what I get:

I have over easy set to 4, and threshold set to 0db (this was when the clip light stopped flashing like it suggested in the manual t try and turn down).

Not sure where I screwed up.

Those are showing you that you are above threshold....on the compressor or limiter, not clipping...raise your threshold or lower the mixer output to get rid of these indicators...Yellow means at threshold...

I was watching the TH LED and all I could ever see was green, and then a flash of red, it must be hard to spot the yellow.

I reverted back to the default threshold value of 20db and it seems to be working better now.

I guess what I really want is to make sure when my mixer is in the red (ocassional clipping) I don't want to see any red on the hi/low outputs, or at the amp correct?
