Hi everyone
I'm currently working on the DBX 160 (the original one) schematics for my thesis, I had to described the sidechain operation. I must admit that I'm a little bit lost about how it works. :?
I'm not sure what happen between the RMS output and the RATIO pot. I've been unable to find out which roles play the two op amps OA3 and OA5.
Does OA5 works as a comparator between the RMS signal and the threshold voltage coming from and changing with the THRESHOLD pot? or are the threshold voltage and the RMS signal added and feed to the non-inverting input of OA5?
If there is someone I could ask few questions, it would be great
