DriveRackPA2 input gain clipping with Denon 6000MK2

Hi!, I just purchased a PA2 and a Denon 6000mk2 controller for Djing.. with 2 mackie 450 v1 tops and a Yorkville sub.. I set it up, as directed by the wizard which had me set the mackies at -24 and the sub at -18...
I was not happy with the gain structure AT ALL.. I had to crank the 6000 and then the input on the Driverack was clipping. I am running xlr balanced between the units..

I'm not sure what is causing this.. my old driverack PA never had an issue like this..
HELP!...

Also, I think there should be a simple input level adjustment that you can get to in the app.. once its buried in the wizard you cant adjust it on the fly, on a gig...That has to be fixed..

Another thing wrong with the app, is that you can't make the window smaller on a 13" macbook pro.. so stuff is cut off that you can't see.. That should be an easy fix...

Thanks in advance for your help...

Set the Mackie at -6 and the Yorkie at -0-.. See how that goes.

  • I think I'm going back to my normal 12 O'Clock settings on the mackies and your suggestion on the Lows to start.. plus I have to get this input gain under control..
