DriveRack PA2 - Exactly what does AutoEQ, Level Assist Auto Trim do?

Manual states AutoEq Level Assist makes system "fine level adjustments" but exactly what level adjustments is this referring to? I would like to know what this does for 2 different system configurations:
1. Stereo full range powered speakers (no subs) using PA2 High LR outputs only.
2. Stereo tops with mono subs using PA2 High LR and Low mono outputs.
It looks like level assist runs with measurement mic at position 1 (centered apex of equilateral triangle). So does it adjust the LR balance to be equal at the mic position or does it only adjust the tops and subs levels to match (in system config 2, doing nothing for full range system 1), or does it do both? Or something else I am missing... I need to know this to decide when I need to turn it on or off for example when setting up in a non-symmetrical venue or the band is setup on the side of the room and I plan to adjust LR balance manually. Please be specific. Thanks

Ok I wrote to Harman support and they pointed out another section of the PA2 manual that states that level assist adjusts both LR balance and high, mid, low balance. Here's the section on page 15:
    RUN AutoEQ/LEVEL ASSIST
When used with the optional dbx RTA-M
    measurement microphone, this Wizard
helps you balance the left/right speaker
    levels, the low/mid/high speaker levels
(for 2-way and 3-way systems), and
automatically equalizes the speakers to the
    current room environment. After selecting
this option, you can select whether you
would like to run both the Level Assist and
AutoEQ functions, Level Assist only, or
    AutoEQ only.
