PA2 CONFIGURATION

Good afternoon.

I use a PA2 and would like to know what would be the correct configuration if I am using it with speakers that are not listed. All my speakers are Audiocenter and are not listed. I only play them as Tops(Highs) and I have bass bins, all active.

The phrase "if you have to ask " comes to mind. Some frequency sweep analysis for response and crossover design based on desired response, and sound quality will get you started. Bare bones. Biamp based on dolby and thx philosophy of 80hz 3rd or 4th order high and low pass. You can notch for a room mode by staggering you crossover point. And read... EV has a white paper pdf called the "PA bible"... "pro sound web" has an education area. Read read and read. Have fun and experiment.

Just remembered. PA2 has an auto eq function said to work well. I never used it. You wound need a mic. DBX sells one and Dayton has one with calibration files to use with software. For example free REW or Smartt and sound easy. I use to use something called speaker workshop for frequency and driver analysis.
