Adjust dbx DriveRack 260 display brightness?

The dbx DriveRack 260 has a bright display. Is there any way to turn down the backlight or turn it off?

BTW, this is an awesome sounding unit. The 48 dB/octave Linkwitz-Riley crossover setting collapses the crossover region to almost nothing, greatly increasing clarity in this important frequency range. My Altec VOTTs sound like new!!!

    you can't reduce the brightness, just the contrast.
    but what about applying a dark foil to the display? this will reduce the brightness
