JBL Compact One - Limiter Function

Hallo,

is it normal, that the JBL Compact One reduces the bass output periodically when on low battery (1 bar battery left).?
Every 30 second the bass output is reduced, then turns back to normal output and reduce the output after 30 seconds again. When this takes place, the leds on the bass and treble - controls are switching status. This behaviour sounds very strange. The limiter is switched on when increasing the volume and is indicated with a orange or red LED on the volume-control.
I found nothing about this behaviour in the manual.
