prx815w limiter light question

Hello. I'm a mobile dj. This is the first time I have owned JBL tops. When I played them, the limiter light was flashing when I turned up the gain knob a quarter of the way. Is that because the signal from my controller was too high? Can I play them all the time while the limiter light is flashing?

    If limiter light flashes intermittently its okay , But please understand your driving the speaker to its limit continues burning of the led can cause serious damage as it means you could be clipping the signal which in turn could burn the HF and LF drivers
