JBL 5 will not pair with Victrola DUAL Bluetooth OUT Turntable

The JBL Flip 5 refuses to connect with this Turntable, I used an Altec LifeJacket bluetooth and it worked but for some reason the Flip5 makes a noise like it connects but then audio doesn't come through. Do I have a bad device or does it just not like this turntable?
