Battery Buzz (EON ONE Compact)

Hi, received my brand new EON ONE Compact today,
When using the battery (this doesn’t happen when plugged into wall power) the speaker emits an electrical buzz that makes it unusable for quiet music or low volumes.
Is that normal, or do I have a faulty unit?
I have an audio recording on SoundCloud.
The buzz is emitted from the speaker (not the battery) and remains constant regardless of whether the master volume is zero or 100%. Plugging in headphones doesn’t mute the buzz even though it mutes the signal to the speaker. The buzz cannot be heard in the headphone signal in any case.
