Problem with renaming new flip 6

The speaker keeps pulling info from previously connected phone and Renames it self as "(that person's name) jbl flip 6" even though i changed the name form the app. I did both a hard and normal reset but nothing changed even with an updated firmware.
Can't seem to find anything on this particular problem.
