Hi everyone, I bought two of these and I’m currently using them together and controlling them with a pro connect app. In this configuration you have to adjust each unit separately. When trying to do this from an iPad, I’m having to deal with the home screen cutting off as they normally do and then having to wait for the units to reconnect when I wake the iPad up. Has anyone ran a pair of these using a traditional mixer as shown in the final diagram in the manual. If so, it would seem to me that’s a better way to manage adjustments during a live show particularly for something like karaoke. That is what I’ll be using it for. Thanks in advance.

Using the JBL PRX812W speakers controlled through the Pro Connect app can be challenging when the iPad's screen cuts off and causes reconnection delays. For a more seamless experience, especially during live shows like karaoke, integrating a traditional mixer can indeed be a better solution. By routing both speakers through a mixer, you can manage volume and EQ adjustments more efficiently in real-time without the interruptions caused by the iPad's sleep mode. This setup ensures continuous control and minimizes the risk of connection issues, enhancing the overall performance and ease of managing your sound system during live events.
