Questions about the Pass through feature on my EON ONE MK2

Does the Pass through only work with JBL speakers or can I use generic speakers?
The manual describes this feature as XLR but it’s a 1/4” out right?
Can it work with passive speakers?

    Pass through works with generic speakers. It is line output level, you will need a power amp to drive passive speakers.
