Possibilities pairing two JBL EON COMPACT

Hi. I'm looking for a portable battery powered PA solution for a 5/6 piece band.
Is it possible to link two JBL EON COMPACT speakers and have them both play their own channels and the other speaker channels? For what I've read, apparently not, but wanted to check here.
An alternative solution could be to get a battery powered mixer for all the inputs and connect the speakers with the passthrough
If anyone can think of another solution without adding a mixer, glad to hear
