EON MK2 Firmware 5.2.9 details…

Hey folks,

New round here and seen already that this speaker has clipping issues even at nominal volume levels. Not good and quite unacceptable… So like many I looked to the firmware…

I’m currently running 5.2.8 and I can see that 5.2.9 is available… question is, what’s in the update?

I can’t see to find a change log or details anywhere so perhaps a tech can advise whether this new firmware update fixes this pretty fundamental issue and what is included in FW 5.2.9?

I recommend to not upgrade to the new firmware. I have had nothing but trouble after upgrading the firmware to 5.2.9. Have not received any feedback from HARMAN/JBL to date.

I tried updating to 5.2.9 tonight because hey, the speaker was unusable before so whats the worst that could happen. So far, I can’t get anything to work. I’ve also never seen customer service quite this bad in my life. I will never buy another JBL product again on account of the customer service alone, never mind the fact that this product has failed in the most basic way
