JBL Eon Compact Clipping Constantly

I just got a pair of JBL Eon Compacts for fill as well as smaller gigs only to find that even at the most nominal volume the knob blinks red constantly indicating clipping. Has anyone had this issue and has anyone found a way to correct it. The speakers were updated out of the box to the latest firmware.

A side note is I can't group them either. I tap the link option and nothing happens if that's a related glitch or not.

    Mine's the same way. The compressor kicks in way too soon making the speaker unusable except at living room volumes. Someone mentioned the problem got worse after the last firmwware. There's supposed to be a new firmware released today but I've seen no mention of it on JBL's website. Hopefully it will address this issue, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
