Thomas, what you describe in your first post has happened to one of my projects before. The client had a bad storm hit the house and locked the CV7 up solid (among other things). I had to remove the power from the CV7 to get it to come back online. However, after reconnecting the power the CV7 took about 2 minutes before it did come back online.
Other than that one "event" I have never had any other troubles with a CV7. I usually assign static IPs to all AMX gear and let the Touchpanels find the master, and I don't usually have any connection problems when I do that.
