What is the official IPad software?

I see both "TPControl" and "IRidium". Does TPControl need additional server software?

I suggest you check the TP Control subforum, afaik it's not officially AMX, but it is an authorized partner.

No servers. The TPC app running on iPhone/iPad/iTouch communicates directly with the Netlix master just as any other AMX TP would do. It uses TPD4 for creating or modifying exisiting AMX TP designs just like any AMX TP would so even though it's not officially an AMX device (although I'd like to see the money trail) it is for all practical purposes a native AMX TP when deployed.

I know nothing about iRidium other than what's been written here on the forums.

Sonance says their patents on their dock for the iPod extend to all media devices and everyone making an in-wall dock for anything electronic will have to pay them. Sounds wildly overreaching to me, we'll see.

Nope. No control, no power, no connector.... no patent.

    He he, gotcha.

Seriously though, who handed that patent out?
What a joke, I thought the patent office was supposed to check and see if it is reasonable to think that the idea is really unique and required some sort of forethought.
Does that mean an AMX MVP-8400 with SIP is in breach?
