Font rendering

I've been tweaking NS a bit so that it would better suit my needs (colours etc) and I've been trying to find a font that NS actually renders well.
I've tried Andale Mono, Terminus, Fixedsys and a whole lot more. Unfortunately there isn't a single font that renders well on all sizes. I'm using Dejavu sans mono now because that's the only font I found that renders remotely well in NS at 10 points. The rest just looks bad.
Has anyone been able to tweak NS/Windows in such a fashion that it renders it all well? Or at least a single font well at multiple point-values?
Edit: Here's a comparison of it. Same typeface same size.

This is also a good tool to get text looking better in Win XP. http://www.microsoft.com/typography/cleartype/tuner/tune.aspx
Let me know if you want me to send you the font.
-- edit -- I just noticed that the font looks fuzzy in the screen shot, but that is only because of the quality settings of my screen capture utility.
This is @ 10 points.
I might add, since I saved the screenshot as a jpg, it's quite a bit fuzzier looking here than it really is ....
I like it. The colors are very Vim-esque.
Speaking of Vim... We should turn this thread into (or start a new thread) repository of color schemes.
I have attached a zip file with my editor prefs (only the editor option was checked) and the consolas font. Hopefully other will follow suit.

@the8thst, thanks for the link with the tuner. Fixed the font quite a bit. Now I can look at it and rejoice compared to before.
I would love it if I could tweak specific things a bit more.
And some things should be fixed like the operator including () and {}. [] are not included, but I want .,;:=+- etc to be separate.
Guess I can only dream.
Here's mine - but I'm going to take Jorde's for a spin today. Looks pretty modern.
And here's the editor prefs and Liberation Mono if anyone wants it
Yup, and the differences in how we all format code are just as interesting as the editor preferences
Editor preferences:
Code formatting: Style Guide
It's nice to see that my natural progression was moving me towards being in compliance with that style guide.
The only exception is that I prefer mixed case naming conventions instead of using _ to separate words.
