XLS 1502 VU meters don't stay OFF

I have to turn the amp's VU meters off EVERY time I power up the amp. I go into the control panel to turn them off but the very next time I power up the amp the VU meters start blinking again. The only difference is that the first LED doesn't blink but the rest do. When I turn the amp back on I go into the control panel and it confirms that the meters are turned off. So every time I power up the amp I have to go thru the process of turning the meters back on and then off again. I sent the first amp back that did this only to have the replacement amp do the exact same thing. Has anyone else experienced this? I contacted Crown and they said they have no idea what the problem is and that they were unable to recreate the problem on a different model XLS amp.
