Crown XTi 4000 short 1

Hello. I have an xTi 4000 that just stopped playing one day. It still powers up but no sound. It stays on for a while then "short 1 " comes up on the display before it shuts down. The display is also jumbled. I have a tech looking at it but he says he needs a full schematic diagram to do some further checks. Any help would be appreciated. I'm all the way in Jamaica

    Short 1 means the amp output has detected a potential short circuit event. Remove all speaker wiring from the output connector. Did the short 1 disappear? If yes, possible speaker network short circuit somewhere. If no, then the amp has a potential output failure.
