Power-up Issue with Crown XTi 1002 - LCD screen flashes along with Db meters

So, the title pretty much sums it up.

I have a XTi 1002 power amp...
When the power button is pressed, all the front panel lights flash, as if it's doing up it's normal startup routine, but it takes a long time to turn on because the process is interrupted every half second.

If I shut it off, and turn it on after a few tries it stays on and functions normally, for the full 12 hours I use it at a time.

After it starts working normally, I can shut it off and and turn it back on right away and it starts up normally.

So my guess it is a faulty capacitor...but it could be something else right?

I can post a video if it helps to see it....

Thanks for any and all help!

From memory : Capacitor C196. Replace with 220uF/63V.

Check big cap next to power switch.

You'll discover that it probably has a lower voltage rating than the 63V suggested. Heat from the power supply section degraded the cap at the original voltage rating, drying it out and failing. Use a high temperature (>105F) rated cap.
