Crown CDI display adjustments

I have 2 CDI 2000 units and the displays have gotten grainy/dim over time. On the board there are 2 blue (what looks like volume adjustments) things and not sure if this would change the display brightness. If not, do these just go out over time and I'd have to replace them?

    Replace display? Unfortunately, yes. It's the backlight illumination circuit behind the display which is at fault. You will need to replace the LCD display (with backlight), perhaps it is still available from Crown. Crown also used to sell the whole panel (with pots) without the frame. It's more convenient and easier to install. A little pricey, however!
