While this forum is a great place for our community to get together, support each other, and talk all things HARMAN... keep in mind this should not be considered a substitute for our live Tech Support. Tech Support engineers may or may not be on the forum helping our users, but the only direct path to proper Tech Support is to call us.

If you're having an issue with a product, feel free to call our HARMAN Pro Tech Support at +1 (844) 776-4899 or on the web at https://pro.harman.com/service . There is a form submission on the website, but I would recommend calling for the quickest service.

This contact number will work for US as well as International, though some regions outside of North America get support directly from the HARMAN distributor in that region. Feel free to check with your distributor on the best method to get your product supported. You are still welcome to call the number above; our Tech Support coordinators can help get you connected to the right person/group regardless.

Each of our Pro brands also has their own dedicated Support pages/resources on their respective websites:

Let us know if you need any other info, and thank you. Enjoy the forums!

I'd recommend creating a new thread to get the most exposure & direct answers to your question. This thread is only to announce Tech Support availability and contact info.

For the Archive Forum, please link and post in a new discussion in the main forum as well. We will not be actively monitoring via Tech Support the archives

  • I just wanted to say that the quality of service and support from the dbx folks is one of the VERY best that I ever deal with! I sometimes service as much as a dozen dbx pieces in a given month, and the parts support has been great from dbx for decades. I was concerned with some recent changes in ownership and location of the parts house that the support would deteriorate...but that has not been the case at all.

Just wanted to say thank you...you folks are amazing!

Over the years, some other manufacturers have become completely impossible for independent repair folks (like me) to deal with, but not so with dbx. Just a phone call with the part numbers in hand, and a credit card, and you are good to go.

Thank you for helping us to keep the old gear alive!

The 4800 does not have an Digital Input. Only Analog In and AES. If you are talking about the World Clock input near the ZC input ethernet ports that is not a digital input. Here is the info for this:

"This connection allows the DriveRack 4800 or 4820 to lock to a master system clock. It is not terminated.
For best results we recommend using “T” connectors when setting up a BNC Word Clock network
and terminating the end of of this network with a 75 ohm BNC terminator. (See Appendix 6)."

You can download the manual here:
    https://dbxpro.com/en-US/product_documents/4800-4820-manual-18-0353-bpdf

Also - Please make a new thread going forward with your inquiries. Do not reply tech inquiries to threads that are a different topic. You can also email tech support directly hprotechsupportUSA@harman.com just FYI
