Lexicon Alpha USB autosuspend issues

I have an issue with my Lexicon Alpha Studio (audio interface). During use the USB disconnects itself (Blue USB light OFF). I have Googled it, and apparently this is down to the "USB autosuspend feature"? It also says that I need to change the setting in the tlp configuration file?? Any help would be appreciated please...thanks - Col

    If your computer goes to sleep, then the Alpha will lose it's connection to the system, we've never found a viable workaround for this other than unplugging the USB cable and plugging it back in

    Changing your buffer size will definately lower the latency. But.. When you're mixing put your buffer size back up to a large number it allows your CPU a little more wiggle room for processing with all your vst's running..
