Does Lexicon Lambda work on Windows 11?

Hi everyone! About to move from an old HP Spectre laptop with Win 10 (on which I've been using Lexicon Lambda for years without issues - love the thing) to an Envy Desktop with Win 11. Anyone have any experience trying to get this audio interface to work with this operating system? I don't see the Lambda driver listed as compatible with Win 11, but I've learned that that doesn't mean it won't work. Thanks!

  • We have seen mixed results. The most common factor is still the driver signature enforcement. No updates will come to the drivers, and they are still not signed. If your version of Windows 11 allows you to disable this, you should be okay.

  • Sorry - can you explain what you mean here or point me to some other documents that do? I'm not very computer-literate. I'm reading a bit about "drive signature enforcement" now. I suppose all I need to know is that IF it the Lambda doesn't work, I might trying disabling this, whatever it is? Are there some cases in which it DOES automatically work? And is the idea to temporarily remove the requirement from the OS that new drivers have some sort of official stamp of legitimacy? Not a super complex or dangerous (in turns of other problems it might cause on the computer) procedure?

    Thanks,
    John

  • Your understanding is correct. Our instructions can be found on the Lambda driver page, but there are a couple of different methods for doing so. I'm not certain if the other methods are more/less effective though.

  • Thanks a lot. I suppose if it worked on W10 without my having done this, it's possible that will be the case with W11 as well.
