Soundcraft MTK Computer Connection Issues

Hello, I have had my MTK 16 for about 2 or 3 years now and haven't had an issue with it. But now when I plug the USB cord into my computer it flickers between connected and not a few times a second it seems. I have tried to get a new cord, it didn't change anything, I also tried some dust off. It has sat in my recording studio for the entire duration and whenever i'm not using it I cover it up to protect from dust.

Any suggestions solve this problem would be very appreciated. I can provide further information if desired. Thank you in advance.
