Audio via Ethernet from UI24R to laptop

Hi in here

I would like to transfer audio from the UI24R to my laptop through a long ethernet cable instead of USB. This way I could also control the mixer part from my laptop without WIFI connection.

I know there is some kind of Audio coming through ethernet, when to units are cascaded - could this be Dante or something that could be used by the laptop?

  • or be programmed into a future firmware update perhaps?

All the best
Jens :-)

  • Short answer is No this won't work. Your only option is USB. The Ethernet is s basically UDP data sent at Clock speed (24.576MHz) instead of standard Ethernet speed which is 25MHz

    Best,
