Gain Control - soundcraft signature 12 mtk

I'm having a problem with gain control.
In channels 1-6, I only have sound with the knob at maximum, but in channels 7/8 and 9/10, the gain control works normally.
Has anyone had any similar experience?

    Curiously I've come across your post because I have a similar issue in that 7/8 and 9/10 have a much higher gain than the other channels. They all work fine (in fact I'd say that 1-6 are more what I'd expect) but the others seem a good 12dB or more more sensitive. Odd!
