Is there any way to get a digital output out of the Soundcraft Ui24R?

Since the Ui24R is a digital mixer, after all, I am trying to get either a coax or TOSLINK S/PDIF output of 48kHz/16-bit stereo out of the Ui24R that mirrors its stereo master outputs. I realize that I can take the balanced master outputs and feed them into an external Analog to Digtal Converter of some sort that would provide S/PDIF output, but was wondering if it was possible to just get the digital signal straight out of the Ui24R as S/PDIF, perhaps even bypassing the Ui24R's DAC, since it would not be needed for a digital output?

  • Since there is still no answer, does anyone know what chip the Ui24R uses for the digital outputs right before they go into the DACs?
