MTK 12 Gain pot faulty

Hi all, the gain pot on Ch 5 of my MTK 12 is faulty, I can increase level via the fader but the gain pot is noisy and does not increase the level of the pre amp, which results in much lower output on Channel 5. Anyone else having this faulty 'gain pot' issue? The desk is relatively new!
