5.1 surround with multi I/O card via USB?

Like it says above, I'm trying to wire our PA so I can play 5.1 mixes on a computer (a mac, but PC is also possible) connected to our Si Performer 2 console using the digital I/O card. In the mac I can configure the "mixes" for the 5.1 sources but they don't seem to correspond to mix outs 1-6 so I'm a little stumped on how to configure the console to see outputs properly. Am I crazy? Lol.
