Soundcraft Signature 12 MTK doesn't connect to new iMac?

Hi everyone, I just purchased a new iMac 24" with the M1 chip and am having trouble connecting to my Signature 12 MTK. The computer doesn't seem to recognize that the Soundcraft is attached at all. For the record, I am using a USB 3.0 to USB-C adapter since the iMac only has USB-C/Thunderbolt inputs. It picks up my Scarlet 2i2 using the same adapter no problem. I'm currently using the Soundcraft into the Scarlett, which works fine, but I'm hoping I can skip the Scarlett some how? Anyone know if this is possible/what I'm missing?
