Si Impact Firmware Upgrade

Hello,

Does anyone have any experience installing the firmware upgrade that takes the SI Impact from 40 channels to 80? I would really like the extra channels, but I am nervous because I cannot find any guides for how to do it. This makes me think that either it is super simple and I am overthinking it, or it is supposed to be done by a technician.

Does it have a chance of failing, or is this just a simple upgrade?
