aux send button not responding well

I have updated to the latest firmware on my ui24r and I click on the AuxSend button and it doesnt respond. Or if it does respond, it highlights then goes immediately back to the mixer console screen. What is the deal?? When you are mixing and you need to do something with the monitors, you need to do it RIGHT NOW. You cant screw around with a screen that wont come up.
Also is there a hotkey to get to the Aux Send screen? I appreciate any help on this urgent issue.
