Hi group. Good to be back. I bought another board. The UI24R. Loving these boards.
I am trying to hook up a touchscreen monitor but its giving me an "out of range" on the monitor. Here are the specs:
Planar PT1585P-BK. VGA monitor (I'm using an HDMI to VGA Adaptor)
I hope someone can walk me through on installing a driver if needed for the monitor and touchscreen. Let me know if you need any other info to help me out.
Thank you everyone
Jay

Your Planar PT1585P-BK can't accept hi resolution graphic signal.
If you connected the Planar PT1585P-BK from your computer, you need to set the output resolution of your computer as 1024 x 768.
It's the maximum size for the Planar PT1585P-BK.
Window OS :
Connect your Planar PT1585P-BK via HDMI adapter.
(If your computer has VGA output, it would be better.)
Press windows key with P, dialog appears, select "Extend".
Right click on desktop, then open Display settings.
You can see [1] and [2]. Click [2], maybe it's extra display.
Select the resolution as 1024 x 768.
Mac OS:
Connect your Planar PT1585P-BK via adapter.
Open the system preferences from your apple icon on the menu bar.
Open Display preference.
Turn off the mirroring.
Set the resolution of extra monitor.....
Mac OS doesn't support touch-screen, therefore that's no meaning, I guess.
If you are trying to connect Planar PT1585P-BK to UI24R directly, you need a down converter.
Ui24R sends 720P (1280 x 720 : progressive) graphic signal but your Planar PT1585P-BK can't receive it because of OUT OF RANGE.
Planar PT1585P-BK can receive 1024 x 768 as max.
You need to get a converter that supports 720P input and 1024 x 766 output.
Take care, some adapters support only 1920 x 1080 input.
I suggest to get a converter has self power port with AC-DC adapter.
Resolution converter needs power but some of them works on the HDMI's bus power.
If the current was much, ui24r can't provide enough current safely.
There are external power booster for HDMI, so you can use such kind of them, though.
And finally, I am not sure that if your Planar PT1585P-BK works as touch screen display with ui24r.
Did you find the PID and VID yet?
