Soundcraft Signature 12 MTK Phantom Power?

Friends, i am new with this mixer, i bought this mixer for live and recording multitrack on mac.
I have few questions which i dont know how to solve.

  1. I have plugged dynamic mic in channel 1 which doesnt require phantom power. And when i plugged condenser mic on channel 2 and use phantom power then it will damage my dynamic? As everywhere it is written not to use phantom power with dynamic mic. If so then how i will record vocal and instrument?
  2. What is the use of GRP 1-2?

    Manual 5:1:1 48v turned on will not affect dynamic mics as long as your using XLR inputs (Balanced). Can't believe no one bothered replying to this.
