red "on" buttons on channels

Soundcraft Si Impact: when the channel "on" buttons turn red on level A main mix, is that an indication that they are muted within a mute group or that their mix is muted? I can't get sound from any of my channels. Signal is showing. I am sending channels to four mixes which are then sent L/R out.
