Portable hard drive multitrack recording on UI 24

Hi. Can someone please talk me through the connections and process or multitrack recording to a portable external hard drive from my UI24. I know how to record multitrack to a usb flash drive but am wondering if I will connect the external hard drive to the same rec out usb slot and will the process be the same with the same procedure.

    You can do it.

    In usually the hard drive spend much current and the connection makes the unit reboot due to the overload.
    So you should use a Self-Powered USB hub for the REC slot.
