UI24R blown preamps after phantom power - How to repair?

Setting up for a gig I realised 2 channels on my UI24R were really bad (fuzzy and distorted). The same 2 channels had been used with phantom power on the previous gig and probably had the connectors pulled out whilst still on Phantom power.

I am surprised that this happened so easily on 2 different brands of condenser microphone at the same time. Is this a known weakness or did I maybe do something else wrong?

Either way, I need to get this fixed ( channels 1 & 11) repaired. Is this an easy repair and has someone else had this issue fixed?

Any comments or input welcome!

Thanks

Phil

PS - bought an offboard phantom unit to power the mics in future so eliminate any chance of this

The same thing happens to me on 2 channels. I had to buy an external phantom power supply.

Thanks! Did you ever fix the channels ? If so, do you know how it was done? Thanks!
