SI Expression 3 to Stage Box

I inherited a mess of sound system at church. We have an SI Expression 3 board->Stage box using analog snake. We have Aviom in-ear (Cat5 ran from board to stage.)

Can I buy the Soundcraft Mini Stage 32i, run a shielded Cat5 from board to stage box, then connect aviom from Stagebox using MADI Aux. cat5 plug?

Hope this makes sense. I know just enough to be dangerous with sound. The reason we want to get away from the analog snake, it was from the old church building and to save money they used the original snake. There are more non-working channels than working and it is driving me nuts.
