Notepad 12FX issues

Hi, I can confirm I'm on the latest firmware 1.09 and drivers for Windows, that all seems to work find, can play and record at the same time.
1) when just playing an audio input, every so often the sound becomes warbled for 10- 30s , and then it goes away plays good for a while. I'm only using 1 stereo input. I thought the input was too loud but it still does it when I trim back. I can monitor the trim level by the signal level sent through USB to my DAW.
2) The Stereo signal coming from the computer through USB is off balance I have the Balance at 10 o'clock for it to be centered.
Anyone experience either of those things?
