Current problems, smoke came out of it

Hi, i´m from mexico. i have this mixer on a church and 2 days ago smoke came out of it while we were playing, honestly we dont know the reason. the main idea is that it was a peak electrical current because it still working, but we are afraid that something like that happen again.
can someone help me??

    Which mixer? You did not say. I assume it may be the UI24R? Was the mixer connected to a surge protector? Was there any bad weather in the area? Is the electrical system in the church up to date or old? The answer is "it depends"... more information needed for a better answer...
